The Summer Slam III: Pittsburgh User Groups Unite You may be a devout Java programmer, a developer committed to Microsoft's .NET framework or an XMLer caught in the middle. You could be a DBA working in Oracle or an IT professional committed to SQL Server. Either way, we will set aside our differences this one day in July as we combine the summer socials for many of Pittsburgh's user groups including PittJUG, Pgh.NET, PittMark, PghOUG and PSSUG. All technology enthusiasts are invited to this unique night of networking and fun. Attendees will learn about the benefits and challenges of each technology through informal conversations with your peers.
The theme of this year's event is the Convergence of Entertainment and Technology. Don Marinelli, Co-Director of CMU's Entertainment Technology Center, will be our guest to deliver the keynote address. This year's event will have some new features including an interactive gaming area and some great raffle prizes. Appetizers will be provided and a cash bar will be available. One thing is guaranteed...there will be lively conversation and cool refreshments.
